Hubby just came in to tell me it flashed on the tv screen breaking news...they found Meredith's body. Something we've all been fearing, but praying would be put to rest for her family. Guess we'll be hearing more about it shortly. May God be with her family and friends right now, and may her soul rest in peace and justice be served.

By JEFFRY SCOTT, GEORGE CHIDI The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Published on: 01/07/08 The body of Buford hiker Meredith Emerson, missing since New Year's Day in the North Georgia mountains, has been found by authorities, her family's spokeswoman confirmed Monday night.
"We did find out just now, not that it was unexpected," Peggy Bailey said.

Oh my!! I knew chances were very slim, but I was still hoping.. I am thankful that her body has been recovered..yes, it will help the family with closure...but sadly their nightmare isn't over. They still have to sit in a courtroom with the SOB and listen to the details.. Prayers being said for them.

I had a cousin who was murdered at 19 years old. This was many, many years ago. It was a very difficult time in our lives. IT was not a missing persons case. She didn't show up for work, or call, her best friend went to her house 'cause it wasn't like her...and found her. I cannot begin to imagine the horror of not knowing and searching. It was horrific enough for us. We know all too well of other tragic events as well. My heart and soul goes out to this family. The pain is unimaginable for such a loss of life and such a way of losing it. They will need all of our prayers.

If the rest of the country wasn't watching us, I say hang Hilton up by his balls and let the menfolk around the area use Hilton for target practice. I bet we'd get some takers.

Why just the menfolk? I am a very good shot and I'd love to take aim at him.
