"The Republicans want to criminalize the right of women to choose, take us back to the days of back alleys, gag doctors and deny families the right to plan and be aware of their choices - we Democrats want to protect the constitutional right of privacy and make clear that at the center of this struggle is our commitment to have a Supreme Court that will protect the equal rights, the civil rights, and the right to choose in this nation." -John Kerry June 7, 2003 __________________ The good ole boy system worked. For some. But anyone who is out of favor of the good ole boys are left out in the cold. The pool of potential leaders in the good ole boy system is very limited. Those that grew up under such a system often do not know that things could be better.
Just like in third world countries with dictators, citizens in the good ole boy system exchange equality, freedom and justice for a sense of security.

I believe women have a right to choose.
He voted "No" on the Prohibit Partial-Birth Abortion bill, because it did not take into consideration the woman's health. John Kerry is Catholic, they believe in pro-creating. I believe he had the best interest of women in mind, instead of Wahington DC's "good ole boy party".
The same position George W. Bush made several years ago before he was president and in the limelight. He then changed his "mind" to get more votes.
Location: Washington, DC Date: 10/21/2003 John Kerry Statement on Senate Action against a Woman's Right to Choose October 21, 2003 Washington, DC -
John Kerry said, “This vote is a step backwards for women as George Bush's stealth agenda to roll back the right to choose is pushed forward. The Supreme Court has already struck down as unconstitutional similar legislation because it does not allow an exception for the health of a mother and I am hopeful that the courts will immediately review it again. This is further evidence that we can't afford a president who refuses to commit to appoint judges who will uphold the right to choose and the right to privacy. It is time for a President who will have the courage to stand up to the right wing assault on the rights of women.”
I don't expect you to understand, because you aren't a women, but don't think that making legalized abortion a crime will stop it. Women will be forced to back alley, witch doctor potions and home remedies, coat hangers, broken glass bottles, horseback riding, falling down stairs.

Hi Folks! God bless you All. This web site is a good un' It will help to bring change. Heres my two cents:
Dems and Repubs; George Wallace said, "There ain't a dimes worth of difference" He was strong 3rd party for the office of President when Nixon had him shot.
Huey P. Long said the Dems and Repubs were like patent medicine, Huey was also shot "Hypoppa Loraum and Lowpoppa Hyrum" Both medicines were made from the bark of the same tree that grew along the Bayous of Louisiana.
He was asked the difference, sense they were both from the same tree bark! He replied well, you see the when we make the Hypoppa Loraum, we skins the bark from The branches toward the root but when we makes the Lowpoppa Hyrum, we skins the bark from the root toward the branches!
There is not a dimes worth of difference between Chip and Lamar. You folk are the ones getting skinned. Your ONLY option is to do what you are doing, play the sons -o-b*@#$ against each other.
They are very few people with an ounce of integrity. You guys, Eddie Woodliff and the folks that signed their names to the add seem to indicate you have integrity.
I'm going to try to start a new thread about the DieBold Machines

Think about it. Who in there right mind, that has a successful business would give it all up to run a county with all the head aches, if not to line their pockets. You know that by law they cannot have a side business. The one thing we don't need is a land developer in a spot like that, but we have one. What we need is to take advantage of the brainpower that we have here in the form of successful retired businessmen that have the spare time and the expertise to be a citizen legislature. We need to hire a good professional county manager to run the everyday business of the county. It doesn't make all that much difference the party they just need to be fair and honest. Before you begin complaining about the cost, it has already been proven that it can be done at the same cost or less. They would only be part time. 86% of the states counties have 5 or more commissioners right now. There are 9 counties left with sole commissioners in all of the US and they are all in Georgia.

Fairplay; Those nine left are not only in Georgia but in the entire U.S.A. This is shameful. But one man is cheaper to bribe than five.

I think having more than 1 commissioner is a very good idea. It isn't fair for one person to make all the decisions for this county.

Went to county meeting last night.Few showed up. no one showed out.I saw about equal number Republicans as Demoncrats.Lamar spoke of only more of your money to be spent. He did not mention saving money or any cutting of taxes.Very sad but true.
