Short, that is another very good prayer. We got about a 20 minute shower this afternoon that was very nice. However I forgot that I had crowder peas drying on the deck so they are not as dry now as they once were. Hubby and I just laughed and said oh well. We were just happy that it was raining.

Taylor and Tulip, how are your families weathering the storm? Hope ya'll are safe.

YEAH!!!!!! RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it stays for a week!!

I'm not even gonna look at the weather - just hoping it lasts and lasts! Soooooo soothing! Even though hubby has the air on I have my window open in this room!

Gustav not as bad as first thought. PTL!!! Prayers for all of those in his path.

Looks like by the end of the week we will be experiencing Hannah! Look out Florida and Coastal Georgia residents!

As i write this, Hanna is due to rear her head as a Cat. 1 hurricane in my area sometime Friday. TS Ike is expected to strengthen in to a Cat. 2 and track not yet determined, though at this time, it seems to be following Hanna. TS. Josephine is just getting started, so no one knows at this point.

Looks like time to batten down the hatches and hang on. I'll be gathering pictures and other non-replaceable stuff in the next day or two and getting them stored somewhere safe. Since we live in a mobile home, even if it's only a a Cat 1, the wind could be a big problem, so we'll head over to my mothers. If an evacuation is given, you can bet we'll be out of here! Many people forget about the tornadoes these things can spawn, even a day or two after the main storm. I've been through a tornado, and believe me, it's not something I ever want to experience again.

And to add to the worry, my son is supposed to be getting married this Sunday,and yep, they planned an outdoor wedding! I kinda think those plans may be changing.....

One can certainly tell that something is brewing! The humidity was extremely high and the air was so thick you could see it. Yuck! Hopefully Georgia will get some much needed rain from the pending storms. (Without the storming!)

I'm ready for the change,I'm loving it.I wonder if I can handle wearing shorts again this winter as I always do.I'm getting older and it's starting to get to me somewhat.I've been wearing shorts during winter months for many a year now.I'm the person you will see up in the mountains,wearing shorts and a sweatshirt on a snowy winter day.

See I have just never understood that. Why bother? Sweatshirts are a total waste of money. I wear my short sleeve shirts shorts and flip flops year round. I have a coat, but I haven't seen it since the blizzard. I didn't wear it then I wore one of hubby's jacket shirts.

Last year we had a light snow and I went to the store with my capris and flops on and a little lady flogged me good right in the store. She was on me like white on rice. LOL! "Does your momma now your out acting like that? You'll die coming out in this weather like that!" Her son finally came to my rescue. I didn't mind though, she sort of reminded me of my dearly departed Grandma.

This weather is just perfect! Nice and cool in the mornings. (Makes me wanna play hookie) and not so hot during the day. Sure wish that it could be like this all year round.
