Was it artificial insemination? Was it by proxy? Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: when as his mother was enspoused to Joseph; before they came together; she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 1:18

It was consensual .
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible. And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

Can you hide from God by not going to church? Local church sign in the parking lot: You can't hide from God by missing church? Traditional church systems sure know how to send a mixed message about God. One example is the tendency to want to localize God to Sunday morning "worship service". You can go to a church on Sunday morning and hear a leader pray something like, "Please accept our worship as we gather in your presence" (as if God lives in the building), and then go to a doctrine class at the same church and hear that God is "omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient." www.sheepcomics.com/strips/there/shepherdthere.htm

Manape, I think it's more like, "open your pockets while you're in this house of God and fill up our collection plates."

You're both right. We are commanded to gather ourselves together but unfortunately SOME not all churches have went from preaching the word of God to seeing how big and nice of a building they can build or see how much money they can put in their bank account. I know of one church who is always helping people in need and their building looks like it is about to fall apart. THAT is a real Church in my opinion.
